E-Safety

E-Safety at Danby CE Primary School

Our children enjoy using a range of computers, laptops and Ipads to support their learning in school, and for their leisure time at home.  We want your children to be as safe as possible when using modern technologies.

CHILDREN'S HANDOUT

According to National Online Safety, 52% of children aged 3-4 go online for nearly 9 hours a week and 99% of children aged 12-15 go online for nearly 20.5 hours a week, making keeping children safe online ever more critical.

Safety Guides for Parents produced by National Online Safety can be found HERE.

NSPCC App Safety

The NSPCC have created a guide - Everything you need to know about TikTok to help you understand the risks, and give you an overview of some of the safety settings that might help to keep your child safer on the app.

Every two years we offer a parent information session in conjunction with the local police.  This is called Child Exploitation and Online Protection Training which our Y5/6 children also undertake.  Internet safety is also an important part of both our Computing and PHSE lessons. Watch the school newsletter for further details.
